Designing thoughtful digital experiences for real people

Hi! I’m Veronica, a UX design student interested in brainstorming modern solutions to relevant issues through UX research, usability tests & prototyping. I am especially interested in human centric thinking and efficiently translating them into digital products.

A sleek laptop open to a detailed UX wireframe in grayscale, resting on a clean, light-wood desk beside a tablet showing a colorful mobile app prototype. Subtle paper sticky notes with neat arrows and labels are scattered nearby, along with fine-tip pens and a closed sketchbook. Soft daylight from an unseen window washes across the workspace, creating gentle, natural highlights on the device screens and faint shadows under objects. Photographic realism with a professional, minimalist aesthetic, shot at an eye-level angle with a shallow depth of field so the main screens are in crisp focus while the background fades into a soft blur. The overall mood is focused, modern, and quietly creative, ideal for a UX design portfolio hero image.
A close-up of a polished smartphone lying on a matte white surface, displaying a high-fidelity mobile app interface with crisp typography, clear navigation, and vivid accent colors on a neutral background. Next to the phone, an open notebook shows sketched user flows and boxes connected by thin arrows, with a fine black pen resting diagonally across the page. Diffused overcast light from above creates soft, even illumination and minimal shadows, emphasizing clarity and precision. Photographic realism with a clean, modern composition using the rule of thirds, leaving negative space around the phone for a calm, professional atmosphere. The mood is intentional, organized, and detail-oriented, perfectly suited for showcasing mobile UX work.

About

I explore complex problems through sketches, prototypes, and testing, collaborating with developers and stakeholders to turn abstract ideas into simple, human-centered digital products.

Lotus: Calm your Anxiety

Inspiration

Lotus was inspired by focus attention (FA) meditation, a practice where individuals concentrate on a single object of focus, such as the breath. Research shows that consistent FA meditation reduces the size and reactivity of the Amygdala, a brain region associated with stress, fear, and anxiety.

Although meditation is a widely recommended resource for improving mental health, many people struggle to integrate it into their daily routines. Students in particular often experience high levels of academic, social, and personal pressure but lack accessible tools to help them regulate their emotions and build sustainable mindfulness habits.

Lotus was created to make meditation, mental health support, and emotional awareness easier to integrate into everyday life. With consistent progress, users will become more bodily aware of themselves.

What it does

Lotus is a wellness app designed to provide meditation, therapy access, and community support. The app allows users to:

  • Schedule Focused Attention meditation sessions
  • Track emotional patterns
  • Book professional therapy sessions
  • Chat with a supportive community
  • Interact with an AI therapy companion
